This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.
• Lead the oversight of manufacturing operations conducted by the supplier to evaluate compliance with contractual requirements.
• Ensure the implementation of a nuclear safety culture by the supplier and identify any deviations from contractual obligations.
• Review final documentation and provide quality release at the conclusion of the manufacturing process.
• Observe manufacturing activities such as welding, non-destructive examination, dimensional control, and destructive testing in accordance with the surveillance plan managed by the supply chain.
• Document deviations from contractual requirements using the designated template.
• Generate a report following each surveillance activity conducted.
• Review End of Manufacturing Reports.
• Issue quality release (QR) prior to the shipment of equipment.
• Conduct unscheduled oversight based on lessons learned and the supplier's weaknesses.
• Assist the supply chain and project teams by providing information on significant events occurring at the supplier facility.
• Support the SQO team as a backup during periods of high activity or when team members are on leave.
• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or industrial engineering.
• Over 5 years of experience as a manufacturing inspector or surveillance engineer within the nuclear industry.
• Preferred certification in NDE or welding (such as NF EN ISO 9712, CWI, or similar).
• Strong understanding of NDE, particularly UT and RT, as well as welding activities.
• Familiarity with nuclear construction codes and regulations (RCC-M, ASME, ESPN, etc.).
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes for critical nuclear equipment.
• Willingness to travel frequently (between 50 to 75%).
