This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
β’ Take ownership of the accuracy, security, and uniformity of authentication and access systems throughout the platform.
β’ Define and enhance authentication workflows, authorization models, and session lifecycle protocols.
β’ Ensure the correctness and consistency of protocols (SAML, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, etc.).
β’ Establish and promote the adoption of standardized authentication and access patterns across teams, ensuring compliance with defined standards.
β’ Design and validate secure authentication workflows driven by state machines.
β’ Identify and address legacy or inconsistent authentication implementations.
β’ Lead the evolution and modernization of authentication systems while ensuring backward compatibility and accuracy.
β’ Enhance resilience and secure failure management across authentication flows.
β’ Over 8 years of experience in software engineering.
β’ Strong experience in backend development (Ruby, Node.js, or similar languages).
β’ Extensive knowledge of authentication and identity protocols (SAML, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, LDAP).
β’ Experience in designing intricate authentication flows and workflows driven by state machines.
β’ Skilled in building and managing authentication, authorization, and API-based services in distributed environments.
β’ Strong understanding of REST APIs, service contracts, and software design principles.
β’ Proven experience in creating secure, reliable systems with robust testing practices across unit, integration, and service layers.
β’ Experience in building and operating services in AWS or comparable cloud environments.
