• Establish guardrails, such as validation layers, static analysis, and automation hooks, to guarantee safe and dependable AI-assisted development.

• Enhance the utilization of AI across the organization for improved effectiveness and efficiency.

• Inspire and lead

• Elevate the technical standards by encouraging teams to broaden their vision and enhance execution.

• Mentor and challenge Staff+ engineers to widen their scope, judgment, and impact.

• Collaborate with engineering and product leadership to synchronize technical choices with business objectives.

• Produce enduring artifacts such as runbooks, decision logs, and tests that can be transferred and developed by others.

• Contribute across product areas, leveraging context from one domain to address challenges in another.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in building and scaling complex software systems.

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field; or 6+ years with a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 4+ years of experience; or equivalent practical experience.

• Proven experience utilizing AI as a primary development collaborator, maintaining a high standard for AI-generated results.

• Demonstrated success in leading significant, cross-pillar technical initiatives.

• A history of effectively engaging in platform modernization, iterative product development, and greenfield project delivery.

• Strong architectural insight across distributed systems, APIs, and platform design.

• Capability to act as a force multiplier for fellow engineers.

• Experience in enhancing engineering testing standards through methodologies like TDD, BDD, load testing, stress testing, chaos testing, invariant testing, or mutation testing.

• Background in building infrastructure that boosts engineering velocity and quality at scale.

• Strong foundation in distributed systems and platform architecture.

• Experience in deriving behavioral specifications from existing systems through code, tests, logs, and subject-matter experts.

• Ability to deliver production-quality results within a small, time-constrained team environment.

• Excellent written communication skills, coupled with a tendency to create durable, valuable artifacts.

• A leadership style that empowers individuals rather than fostering dependency.
