Principal Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Establish engineering direction across various teams.

• Guide decisions regarding systems, languages, frameworks, and architectural patterns.

• Lead our most significant and intricate initiatives, including multi-team projects and critical business strategic imperatives.

• Collaborate with Architects, the Head of Product Engineering, and the executive team to shape long-term platform strategy.

• Define and enhance best practices across teams.

• Promote adoption and improvement beyond mere documentation.

• Serve as the organization’s thought leader in AI engineering.

• Tackle complex technical challenges that others cannot resolve.

• Mentor engineers to develop them into stronger team members and contributors.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in software engineering, showcasing a strong record of cross-team technical leadership in growth-stage or larger organizations.

• Proven impact on architecture and engineering practices at the organizational level, rather than just within a single team.

• Extensive technical knowledge across backend systems, API design, data, infrastructure, and proficiency in at least one web/mobile/platform area.

• History of integrating AI/ML or AI-assisted development tools into production engineering workflows, demonstrating measurable enhancements in developer productivity or code quality.

• Exceptional written communication skills, as your design documents, RFCs, and postmortems should exemplify the standard for the organization.

• Ability to operate comfortably in ambiguous situations with a preference for structured execution over analysis paralysis.
