Principal Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Establish and advance the technical framework for IAA’s data platform.

• Personally architect and construct intricate data pipelines and components.

• Set engineering standards and guidelines for architecture and code quality.

• Lead the development and execution of resilient data products.

• Create production-grade data pipelines and infrastructure for data scientists.

• Identify and resolve performance and scalability issues.

• Propel technical strategy across Microsoft Fabric and Azure BI technologies.

• Mentor and develop both data engineers and analytics engineers.

⛳️ Requirements

• Significant hands-on experience in a senior or principal-level data engineering role.

• In-depth knowledge of the Azure BI / data technology stack.

• Strong understanding of data engineering architecture and contemporary analytics platforms.

• Expert proficiency in Python and SQL.

• Practical understanding of how data scientists utilize data.

• Proven ability to address ambiguous and complex business challenges.

• Strong mentoring capabilities and influential skills.

• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
