Principal Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Accountable for delivering software development in accordance with specifications and regulatory standards.

• Engage in projects from the design phase to launch, encompassing development, code reviews, unit testing, testing, integration, and deployment.

• Ensure high code quality by supervising development and compliance with software development processes.

• Collaborate closely with the Product Development engineering team, including Product Strategy, Architecture, and Testing, to guarantee that implementations align with the company's business objectives and strategies.

• Create, document, maintain, and enforce quality processes within the software development team, which includes coding standards, code reviews, unit testing, and other Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions.

• Work in coordination with IT and Operations Development teams to facilitate smooth product launches and implementations, including CI/CD pipelines and prompt knowledge transfer.

• Engage in design discussions across various teams.

• Participate in information and requirements gathering sessions with business stakeholders.

• Troubleshoot and maintain existing systems.

• Provide team leadership to foster growth, learning, and efficiency in both technical and business-related areas.

• Offer suggestions to enhance process efficiency and effectiveness.

• Serve as a subject matter expert on the Product Development software products and tools, acting as the main internal contact for software-related inquiries and issues.

• Formulate clear and comprehensive technical and/or product recommendations and solutions to support long-term strategies.

• Promote emerging technologies and advocate for their intelligent integration into our products and development strategies.

• Lead architectural discussions to ensure the development of scalable and compliant code and technology.

• Clarify and communicate intricate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Prepare detailed technical documentation to comply with development processes, company Standard Operating Procedures, Audit requirements, etc.


⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in system design and software development.

• Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.

• Strong technical proficiency with .NET technologies.

• In-depth technical experience with web technologies, such as React, other JavaScript libraries, Typescript, and CSS/SASS.

• Extensive background in unit testing.

• Familiarity with test-driven development practices.

• Significant experience in debugging and profiling applications.

• Proficient with an enterprise-level ALM platform, such as Azure DevOps.

• Experienced in Agile/Scrum methodologies.

• Solid background in secure application development, including website and web service security.

• Extensive experience in managing software projects throughout the SDLC, including analyzing, documenting, and designing software system architectures.

• Experience with DevOps practices.

• At least 3 years of experience in the life sciences industry, preferably within the IRT sector.
