Principal Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Overseeing technical design and code evaluations, ensuring adherence to best practices in security, performance, and maintainability throughout the engineering team.

• Providing mentorship and support to both junior and senior engineers, cultivating a culture centered on technical excellence and ongoing education.

• Collaborating intimately with Security Data Analysts, Product Management, Threat Research, and Sales teams to convert business needs into technical solutions.

• Enhancing the performance of proxy technologies (NGINX, Envoy) and container orchestration platforms (Kubernetes) to achieve high-throughput, low-latency security processing.

• Establishing security controls in line with OWASP Top 10 and emerging threat intelligence to ensure robust protection against contemporary attack vectors.

⛳️ Requirements

• Possess over 13 years of experience in software engineering with a documented history of developing large-scale, high-performance systems.

• Exhibit expert-level skills in Go (golang) with a strong understanding of concurrent programming, memory management, and performance tuning.

• Have a comprehensive understanding of web technologies including HTTP/HTTPS protocols, TCP/IP networking (L3/L4), DNS, and TLS/SSL implementations.

• Hold extensive experience with proxy technologies (NGINX, Envoy), Web Application Firewalls, and the development of security middleware.

• Experience with Application Delivery Controllers (ADC), load balancers, and distributed system design patterns is essential.

• Demonstrate leadership skills through experience in technical mentoring, making architectural decisions, and collaborating across functions.

• Possess exceptional communication abilities to convey complex technical concepts to a range of stakeholders, including product managers, sales teams, and customers.
