Principal Site Reliability Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.

📋 Description

• Shape the SRE function by defining our approach to reliability, observability, and operational excellence. Propel the integration of SRE principles throughout the organization while establishing measurable systems and processes – including SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets.

• Scale Through Automation by advocating for architectural enhancements that improve system reliability and deployment speed. Offer guidance on system architecture, create reusable platforms and frameworks, plan capacity requirements, and perform production readiness reviews to guarantee successful service launches and operations.

• Drive Technical Excellence by participating in and enhancing the lifecycle of microservices from inception to deployment, operation, observability, and ongoing refinement.

• Lead Through Influence by collaborating with engineering and product leadership to integrate reliability into our product development lifecycle. Facilitate blameless postmortems and initiate systemic improvements in incident management. Mentor engineers across the organization on SRE practices, empowering teams to take responsibility for their service reliability.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in designing, analyzing, and troubleshooting distributed systems or microservices architectures.

• Established expertise in observability and incident management.

• Demonstrated ability to drive organizational change.

• Exceptional communication skills paired with a systematic problem-solving approach.

• Experience managing production workloads in AWS.

• Familiarity with financial services or similarly regulated environments.

• Interest in blockchain technologies and/or decentralized finance.

• Master's degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
