Principal Research Scientist – Datasets

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Creation of specialized datasets aimed at evaluating, refining, and training extensive 2D and 3D models for Design & Make.

• Establish design engineering benchmarks and evaluation frameworks, which include task formulation, metric selection, and validation protocols, to measure model and dataset quality.

• Lead data collection initiatives from inception to completion by gathering requirements, defining success metrics, and adapting to the evolving needs of AI Research.

• Review pertinent AI/ML literature to uncover emerging methods, technologies, and best practices.

• Investigate new data sources and identify techniques for optimal data utilization.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Master's or PhD in a field related to AI/ML, such as Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Linguistics, Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, or similar disciplines.

• Strong foundation in statistical methods for Machine Learning (e.g., Bayesian methods, HMMs, graphical models, dimensionality reduction, clustering, classification, regression techniques, etc.).

• Familiarity with Deep Learning methodologies (e.g., network architectures, regularization techniques, learning strategies, loss functions, optimization strategies, etc.).

• Proficient coding skills in Python and/or C++.
