Principal QA Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Oversee, guide, and mentor the QA & Test team in their daily operations.

• Identify and communicate any quality risks, gaps, or issues.

• Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and insightful feedback.

• Develop detailed, comprehensive, and well-organized testing documentation.

• Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities effectively.

• Design, develop, and execute automation scripts as needed.

• Conduct thorough regression testing once bugs have been resolved.

• Formulate and implement testing processes for both new and existing products.

• Investigate the reasons behind non-conforming software and implement appropriate solutions.

• Define quality metrics and establish measurements to assess test effectiveness, testing efficiency, and the overall quality of the product.

• Create, document, and improve QA processes continuously.

• Keep abreast of the latest testing tools and strategies.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in quality assurance engineering.

• A minimum of 3 years in a QA Team Lead or QA Manager role.

• In-depth knowledge of software QA methodologies, automation tools, and processes.

• Proven ability to write clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.

• Practical experience with both white box and black box testing methodologies.

• Hands-on experience with automated testing tools.

• Strong understanding of SQL and scripting languages.

• Experience in performance testing methodologies.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
