Principal Product Security Incident Responder

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee PSIRT initiatives throughout the organization, directly reporting to the VP of Product Cybersecurity.

• Handle externally reported product vulnerabilities and incidents across GE Vernova’s various business units.

• Facilitate remediation and disclosure efforts across different product lines.

• Manage the organization’s CVE Numbering Authority (CNA) program.

• Ensure adherence to EU CRA and other relevant regulatory reporting responsibilities.

• Collaborate with the CISO’s CERT and security teams within business units.

• May liaise with law enforcement and E-ISAC as needed.

• Implement AI-driven tools to expedite triage, automate vulnerability assessments, and enhance PSIRT capacity to manage increasing incidents.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in cybersecurity, with a strong focus on PSIRT operations, vulnerability management, or product incident response in the industrial/energy sector.

• Demonstrated experience in leading a PSIRT function, including direct management of coordinated disclosures and security incidents involving customers.

• Experience in engaging with law enforcement, government entities, and national authorities regarding sensitive cybersecurity matters.

• Strong knowledge of CVE, CVSS, CWE, and standards such as ISO/IEC 29147/30111.

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field.

• Hands-on experience with GE Vernova products or similar OT/industrial energy systems.

• Familiarity with IEC 62443 security standards and energy sector ISACs (e.g., E-ISAC).

• Experience in building or scaling a PSIRT function from inception.

• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, GCIH, GICSP, or their equivalents.

• Advanced degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or Engineering.
