Principal Product Security Incident Responder

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee PSIRT initiatives throughout the organization, directly reporting to the VP of Product Cybersecurity.

• Manage product vulnerabilities and incidents identified externally across GE Vernova’s divisions.

• Facilitate remediation and disclosure efforts across various product lines.

• Operate the company’s CVE Numbering Authority (CNA) program.

• Ensure adherence to EU CRA and other relevant regulatory reporting requirements.

• Collaborate with the CISO’s CERT and security teams within business units.

• Implement AI-driven tools to enhance triage processes, automate vulnerability scoring, and expand PSIRT capabilities to handle the increasing number of incidents.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in cybersecurity with a strong focus on PSIRT operations, vulnerability management, or product incident response, particularly in the industrial/energy sector.

• Demonstrated capability in leading a PSIRT function, including direct management of coordinated disclosures and customer-related security incidents.

• Experience in engaging with law enforcement, governmental bodies, and national authorities on sensitive cybersecurity matters.

• Extensive knowledge of CVE, CVSS, CWE, and standards such as ISO/IEC 29147/30111.

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field.

• Direct experience with GE Vernova products or comparable OT/industrial energy systems.

• Familiarity with IEC 62443 security standards and energy-sector ISACs (e.g., E-ISAC).

• Experience in establishing or expanding a PSIRT function from the ground up.

• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, GCIH, GICSP, or equivalent.

• Advanced degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or Engineering.
