Principal Product Manager – Mobile Products

📋 Description

• Take charge of the product roadmap for this new domain: assess the scoped items, rigorously test assumptions, and adapt the plan based on insights gained.

• Engage in thorough discovery by connecting with end users and operators, refining the problem statement while collaborating with Design and Engineering on the solution.

• Integrate AI within the product where it offers true value, not merely as a checkbox feature, but as a catalyst for enhanced experiences and more efficient operations.

• Make informed decisions regarding what to develop in-house, what to partner on, and what to consider for white-labeling.

• Define the key metrics and hold yourself accountable for achieving them.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in product management with a proven history of managing products from inception to market launch.

• Mobile-first mindset: you naturally think in terms of mobile experiences, understand the elements that make a consumer app engaging, and have successfully launched products that users frequently utilize on their devices.

• Ability to thrive in ambiguity and tackle early-stage product challenges: you can navigate with an incomplete playbook, fill in the blanks, and make decisive choices with limited information.

• Strong discovery skills: you excel at engaging with customers, synthesizing qualitative insights, and translating them into a clear product vision.

• AI-focused thinking: you tackle product challenges by considering how intelligent systems can enhance the experience, rather than viewing AI as an afterthought. You stay informed about the technology's capabilities and incorporate that knowledge into discovery, design, and prioritization discussions.

• A builder's mentality: you don’t just create specifications and pass them on. You prototype, experiment, leverage available tools to quickly explore ideas, and ensure a connection between engineering requests and actual functionality.

• Excellent communication abilities: you can influence teams across engineering, design, go-to-market, and leadership through clear writing, effective presentations, and by earning trust without formal authority.

• Bonus if you possess any of the following:

• Experience in proptech, multifamily real estate, or property operations.

• Experience in developing consumer mobile applications with significant engagement, retention, or marketplace dynamics.

• Experience managing third-party integrations or white-label partnerships as part of a product strategy.

• A background in platforms where the end user and the purchaser are distinct: you understand that dynamic and know how to cater to both parties.
