Principal Product Manager

📋 Description

• Influence the overall product strategy at ClickUp by addressing the most challenging and impactful product questions, driving them to resolution.

• Articulate the future direction of the converged workspace and the role of AI in the workplace over a multi-year timeline, ensuring clarity for all stakeholders.

• Develop prototypes to validate your vision, ensuring that the proposed strategy is tangible rather than theoretical.

• Analyze data, customer feedback, usage patterns, and market trends to create a comprehensive understanding of our successes and areas for improvement.

• Establish the benchmark for product managers across the organization, with the innovative practices you develop becoming the operational standard for the entire PM team.

• Provide guidance and insights to executive leadership on product strategies, major initiatives, and investment priorities.

• Serve as an external representative of ClickUp's product vision, engaging with key clients, analysts, and the wider product community when appropriate.

• Identify deficiencies in our product strategy and develop frameworks to address these gaps.

⛳️ Requirements

• 8-10+ years of experience in product management, demonstrating a strong track record of influencing company-wide decisions in a fast-paced B2B SaaS context.

• Extensive experience in making significant and ambiguous product decisions that carry real stakes and lack clear solutions.

• Exceptional skill in synthesizing various inputs, customer insights, business constraints, and technical realities into a clear and actionable direction.

• Proven capability to create and advocate for a product vision that gains the trust of engineering, design, and executive teams.

• A history of enhancing the skills of fellow product managers, contributing beyond your own deliverables.

• Proficient in data analysis. You determine the key metrics at the organizational level and can recognize when data may be incomplete or misleading.

• Strong expertise in AI tools. You are not merely experimenting with AI; you are actively building with it and leading by example.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. You can clearly articulate complex arguments and connect with diverse audiences.
