This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership of Product Strategy & Outcomes.
• Identify target markets and customer segments, determining how Bonterra can excel and differentiate itself.
• Develop and refine a clear product vision, strategy, and roadmap that aligns with Bonterra’s mission and business goals.
• Be accountable for product outcomes, including adoption, engagement, retention, and revenue effects.
• Convert company-level objectives and OKRs into focused product initiatives with defined success metrics.
• Own Continuous Product & Market Discovery.
• Regularly evaluate market trends, competitive positioning, and emerging opportunities to guide strategy.
• Collaborate with Design, Engineering, and Research to conduct ongoing discovery, including customer interviews, usability testing, data analysis, and experimentation.
• Identify and validate customer challenges, test hypotheses, and ensure solutions provide genuine customer and business value.
• Cultivate a deep understanding of nonprofit workflows, motivations, and constraints across various customer segments.
• Own Packaging, Pricing & Positioning.
• Manage product packaging and pricing strategy, including tiering, monetization models, and value-based pricing, considering the unique aspects of AI features.
• Establish clear and compelling product positioning and messaging that sets Bonterra apart in the market.
• Continuously test and enhance pricing and packaging based on market insights and performance data.
• Deliver High-Impact Solutions.
• Lead comprehensive product launches.
• Work closely with Engineering and Design to define solutions, scope work, and deliver iteratively.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success to ensure successful go-to-market execution.
• Measure and optimize go-to-market performance, including conversion rates, pipeline contributions, and adoption metrics.
• Maintain a well-prioritized roadmap that emphasizes outcomes over output, making clear trade-offs when necessary.
• Ensure product requirements are concise, straightforward, and enable teams to act swiftly without compromising quality.
• Use Data, AI, and Insights to Inform Decisions.
• Define and track key product metrics; employ qualitative and quantitative data to steer prioritization and iterations.
• Utilize experimentation and analytics to assess product performance and guide roadmap decisions.
• Contribute to Bonterra’s approach to AI-driven and data-informed capabilities, focusing on responsible, customer-centric applications.
• Launch, Learn, and Iterate.
• Lead product launches in collaboration with Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success, ensuring strong positioning and enablement.
• Collect post-launch insights and continually refine the product based on customer feedback and performance metrics.
• Influence & Lead Across the Organization.
• Serve as a trusted product leader and subject-matter expert in your product area.
• Effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels, including executives.
• Mentor and guide junior product managers, fostering a strong product culture rooted in learning and impact.
• Over 8 years of experience in product management, product marketing, or a hybrid role focused on building and scaling SaaS and AI-driven products, preferably in B2B or platform settings.
• Proven track record of delivering AI-powered or machine learning-driven product features.
• Practical proficiency with AI tools and workflows — using AI to enhance your work, not merely as a buzzword.
• Demonstrated experience in owning product strategy and outcomes, beyond just feature delivery.
• Strong discovery competencies, including customer research, problem framing, and hypothesis-driven development.
• Knowledge of responsible AI principles — bias, fairness, transparency, privacy — and their application in a product context without hindering team progress.
• Experience collaborating in agile, cross-functional teams alongside Engineering and Design partners.
• Comfort with utilizing data to inform decisions, establish success metrics, and assess trade-offs.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities, with the capacity to influence without direct authority.
• Familiarity with modern product tools (e.g., Jira, Productboard, Amplitude, Looker, or similar).
• A strong passion for Bonterra’s mission and a desire to develop technology that aids social impact organizations.
