This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Drive the strategy and roadmap development for B2 products, ensuring successful execution of delivery.
• Oversee the complete product development lifecycle from initial discovery to final delivery during feature creation.
• Collect and synthesize inputs for discovery and prioritization from internal teams, customers, and partners, covering the full range of R&D development including feature capabilities, user experience challenges, cost optimization, and technical debt.
• Convert complex customer challenges into clear, concise, and actionable product requirements in collaboration with Design, Engineering, and GTM teams.
• Work alongside Product Marketing to launch and promote the adoption of new products and features.
• Serve as a subject matter expert and advocate for Backblaze's solutions, presenting insights to customers, prospects, partners, and internal teams.
• Define and monitor essential product metrics (KPIs), leveraging data to guide iterations and growth strategies.
• Maintain an in-depth understanding of the latest advancements in the object storage market, including customer use cases and competitive offerings, to identify new opportunities and uphold Backblaze's leadership position in the market.
• 8+ years of experience in Product Management within technology companies, ideally focusing on IaaS and/or SaaS offerings.
• A demonstrated history of successfully launching and scaling technical products or platforms in rapidly growing businesses, involving thorough cross-functional collaboration and leadership across R&D and go-to-market teams.
• Strong understanding of cloud architecture, APIs, as well as security and compliance considerations.
• Proven success in managing product roadmaps, defining MVPs, and overseeing the entire product life cycle.
• A strategic thinker capable of translating market trends, customer needs, and technical innovations into a clear product vision and actionable roadmap.
• Deep empathy for customers and users, with a passion for addressing their most urgent security challenges through effective input gathering and synthesis.
• Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with a collaborative and team-oriented approach to identifying problems, proposing potential solutions, and building consensus around your vision with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Excellent written and verbal communication capabilities.
