Principal Product Designer, Supply

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.

📋 Description

• Define and lead the design strategy for the Supply ecosystem, establishing a cohesive, user-centered vision that spans various product areas and aligns with ezCater's overall product and business objectives.

• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Data leadership to co-create roadmaps, grounding priorities in a comprehensive understanding of catering partner requirements, operational realities, and business health metrics.

• Spearhead cross-domain design initiatives that have a significant company-wide impact, clarifying ambiguous, multi-team efforts and securing alignment from senior stakeholders.

• Establish quality standards across UX, visual design, content, and interaction by providing direction to other designers and advocating for the advancement of our design principles and systems as the Supply space evolves.

• Guide the design direction for your cross-functional team, conducting critiques and design reviews, presenting clear and justifiable decisions, and creating clarity in uncertain situations.

• Identify and define high-leverage problem spaces before they make it onto the roadmap, influencing what teams focus on, not just how it appears.

• Foster a culture of data-informed design decisions by demonstrating a history of leveraging qualitative and quantitative data to achieve impactful results and holding the work accountable to measurable outcomes.

• Mentor and coach designers within the Supply organization, enhancing craft and strategic thinking throughout the team.

• Elevate the standard for how design is communicated and documented, crafting narratives that resonate with senior leadership and setting expectations for how the team showcases its work.

• Advocate for the responsible and high-quality integration of AI into design workflows, assisting in shaping how the Supply design team adopts AI capabilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in product design, UX design, or a related role, with a solid foundation in visual and interaction design.

• Proven ability to operate at a strategic level: co-defining product direction alongside PM/Eng/Data partners, shaping roadmaps, and influencing senior stakeholders.

• Experience leading design efforts across multiple product areas concurrently, with responsibility for ensuring quality and coherence within a complex ecosystem.

• Demonstrated skill in framing high-leverage problems, not just solving them, and transitioning teams from merely shipping tickets to addressing well-defined, outcome-driven challenges.

• Strong command of the entire design process, with the adaptability to navigate different levels of fidelity and abstraction as required by the work.

• Exceptional communication and storytelling abilities: capable of crafting compelling narratives for both senior leaders and everyday cross-functional collaborators.

• Experience mentoring senior and staff-level individual contributors, enhancing the craft of those around you.

• Proficiency in Figma and prototyping tools, including AI-driven tools, along with experience in designing for and contributing to robust design systems.
