Principal Platform Product Owner

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Decompose high-level epics and product requirements into well-defined, sprint-ready user stories complete with clear acceptance criteria.

• Cultivate a thorough understanding of the platform's product vision and act as its steward at the execution level, ensuring that detailed decisions align with the strategic intent.

• Collaborate closely with the Platform Product Manager to clarify priorities and translate roadmap insights into actionable tasks for scrum teams.

• Work together with the UI/UX designer to ensure that wireframes and prototypes accurately represent detailed requirements prior to development commencement.

• Partner with globally distributed scrum teams in India and Poland to address inquiries, clarify ambiguities, and sustain development progress.

• Identify early gaps, inconsistencies, or risks in requirements, and escalate or address them before they affect delivery.

• Oversee and organize the product backlog, ensuring it is well-structured, current, and accurately reflects existing priorities.

• Adjust to changing team assignments and priorities as the product and operating model develop.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in a product ownership or similar capacity.

• Proven ability to translate complex and ambiguous product requirements into clear, actionable user stories.

• Strong capability to internalize and convey a product vision, preserving its integrity through detailed execution without the need for constant guidance.

• Experience collaborating directly with engineering teams, including clarifying requirements and supporting development through to delivery.

• Comfortable working in a dynamic, early-stage product environment where priorities may shift and the operational model is continuously evolving.

• Excellent communication skills, enabling effective collaboration across globally distributed teams and various time zones.

• Proven experience working alongside UI/UX designers to ensure alignment between detailed requirements and high-fidelity design artifacts.
