Principal Platform Engineer

📋 Description

• Engage in the formulation and implementation of a technology strategy for the Innovation Lab that aligns with the organization’s business objectives and innovation goals.

• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to design, implement, and sustain robust, scalable platform solutions for innovative initiatives within the Innovation Lab.

• Lead the advancement of state-of-the-art technologies and frameworks to improve the overall platform architecture.

• Ensure seamless integration of various systems and services, optimizing both performance and reliability.

• Proactively identify and resolve potential bottlenecks, security risks, and performance challenges in the platform infrastructure.

• Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of development processes and tools, promoting a culture of innovation and efficiency.

• Work closely with DevOps, software engineers, and other stakeholders to streamline deployment pipelines and automate operational functions.

• Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies, assessing their potential application to enrich the lab’s technological environment.

• Provide mentorship and knowledge-sharing within the team, fostering a collaborative and learning-oriented atmosphere.

• Assist in the development of technical documentation, ensuring clarity and accessibility for team members.

• Operate effectively in a fast-paced Innovation Lab environment characterized by ambiguity and adaptive working practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 12 years of experience in software systems development and delivery, showcasing demonstrable expertise in innovation and emerging technologies.

• More than 7 years of experience in solution architecture across various domains, with a recent emphasis on digital transformation.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems or Engineering.

• Proven track record as a Platform Engineer or a comparable role, focusing on innovative technology solutions.

• Strong proficiency in designing and implementing scalable and resilient platform architectures.

• Expertise in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Go, along with experience in microservices and containerization.

• In-depth knowledge of a wide array of technologies, including AI/ML, SOA, cloud architectures, advanced analytics, data management, NoSQL databases, and modern integration techniques like API Gateway, web services, messaging, and RESTful architectures.

• Practical experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, and container orchestration tools like Kubernetes.

• Comprehensive understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code principles.

• Familiarity with security best practices and the capability to implement security measures within the platform.

• Established experience in the financial sector, with insight into how technology influences business processes and outcomes.

• Exceptional problem-solving and communication abilities, with the capacity to collaborate effectively in a dynamic team environment.
