Principal Operations Lead, Fire & Life Safety Systems

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take charge of emergency preparedness from start to finish: planning for pre-incident responses and training in collaboration with local Authorities Having Jurisdiction.

• Conduct facility fire risk assessments and collaborate with Health and Safety to ensure compliance with hazardous materials regulations.

• Oversee the fire and life safety program, managing the budget, relationships with third-party consultants, and contracted Inspection, Testing, and Maintenance services.

• Work alongside Design and Delivery on the review of plans and the commissioning of fire and life safety systems.

• Direct incident investigations utilizing 5-Why methodology and fault tree analysis.

• Manage the routine inspection program, including walkthroughs and Gemba observations.

• Travel between 50 to 75% across the fleet.

⛳️ Requirements

• You have experience in plan review and commissioning of fire and life safety systems in accordance with NFPA, FM, and IFC codes and standards.

• You possess a technical background in Fire Protection.

• You have performed fire and life safety risk assessments per NFPA, FM, and IFC/IBC standards.

• You have managed and developed members of emergency response teams, fire inspectors, coordinators, or technicians specializing in fire alarms and sprinklers.

• You have led root-cause investigations employing 5-Why or fault tree analysis methodologies.

• You have served as the primary site contact for local or state Fire Marshals, OSHA, or state-plan (ADOSH) inspections.

• You monitor both leading and lagging safety metrics.
