Principal Mobile Engineer – Casino

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Lead the technical direction for the Frontend within the Casino Technology unit

• Collaborate with fellow Principal Engineers in Core and Sportsbook units, along with the Technical Director for Mobile

• Take ownership of the architecture and progression of Casino-domain features

• Create and enhance a high-performance mobile application using React Native for both iOS and Android

• Drive significant technical initiatives over multiple quarters

• Mentor and nurture the development of senior and staff engineers

• Collaborate with Product Management, Design, QA, and Backend Engineering teams

• Advocate for the adoption of AI-assisted development tools and workflows

• Navigate the complexities of operating within a highly regulated industry

• Act as the escalation point for intricate technical issues

• Promote comprehensive observability practices

• Contribute to technical discussions across different units

• Utilize cutting-edge technologies and strategies to enhance content delivery

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in mobile application development (both native and hybrid)

• At least 7 years dedicated to React Native

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent demonstrated experience

• In-depth knowledge of React Native application architecture utilizing TypeScript in strict mode

• Expertise in dual state management strategies — client state (MobX) and server state (TanStack React Query)

• Practical experience with AI-assisted development tools

• Proven track record in designing real-time mobile systems utilizing RESTful services, WebSockets, and GraphQL

• Extensive experience with native iOS (Swift/Objective-C) and/or Android (Kotlin/Java)

• Previous experience in the igaming, sportsbook, or online gaming sectors

• Experience in architecting multi-variant mobile applications

• Thorough understanding of the mobile development lifecycle

• Demonstrated ability to identify, scope, and implement architectural improvements over multiple quarters

• A solid history of mentoring senior and staff engineers

• Strong influence across cross-functional teams
