📋 Description

• Design, construct, and enhance the infrastructure that supports production services across network and systems domains, ensuring optimal availability, performance, and scalability.

• Implement enhancements to reliability, redundancy, and overall service delivery throughout infrastructure environments.

• Act as a senior escalation point for intricate production issues, diagnosing and resolving critical incidents that affect service availability.

• Lead by example through active technical contributions and ownership of complex infrastructure challenges.

• Manage and optimize on-premises network infrastructure, encompassing switching, routing, firewalls, and load balancing, while ensuring security and robustness.

• Architect and oversee Linux systems, virtualization platforms, and server infrastructure to maintain stable, high-performing environments.

• Spearhead the development and adoption of automation within network and systems environments, employing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to standardize operations.

• Minimize manual processes and enhance consistency across deployments and operational workflows.

• Collaborate with Engineering, Development, QA, and Application teams to support services and align infrastructure with business and application needs.

• Serve as a technical link to facilitate the successful delivery of cross-functional initiatives.

• Establish and enforce best practices and standards for infrastructure while mentoring team members to elevate overall technical expertise.

• Promote continuous improvement in infrastructure design, operations, and documentation.

• Assess, design, and implement AI-assisted tools to enhance reliability, performance, and operational efficiency.

• Encourage the development, implementation, and advancement of AI-based tools and software to streamline infrastructural tasks and accelerate project and initiative completion.


⛳️ Requirements

• Over 12 years of experience in infrastructure engineering, with extensive expertise in network engineering (routing, switching, firewalls, load balancing) and systems engineering (Linux, virtualization, server hardware), alongside a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience will be considered).

• Demonstrated experience in supporting production environments within on-premises datacenters, emphasizing reliability and operational stability.

• Strong hands-on experience in Linux administration and performance optimization across complex environments.

• Essential understanding of core networking protocols, including BGP, OSPF, and TCP/IP.

• Proven ability to diagnose issues across the entire infrastructure stack, from hardware through network and systems layers.

• Required experience in implementing automation and Infrastructure as Code using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or similar.

• Proficient in scripting (Python, Bash, or equivalent) to facilitate automation and operational efficiency.

• Familiarity with network and systems automation frameworks and contemporary infrastructure practices.

• Ability to operate both strategically and tactically, with a history of owning and delivering large-scale infrastructure initiatives in dynamic environments.

• Strong collaboration skills, capable of working effectively across cross-functional teams while communicating complex technical concepts.

• Preferred experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes and Docker.

• Familiarity with hybrid or cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure) is advantageous.

• Exposure to monitoring, observability, and capacity planning tools and practices is a plus.

• A background in high availability, disaster recovery, and failover design is considered beneficial.
