Principal Federal HPC Technical Consultant, Clearance Preferred TS/SCI with Poly

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Deliver technology consulting services to both external clients and internal project teams.

• Tasked with providing technical support and/or leadership in the development and implementation of technology solutions.

• Keep abreast of cutting-edge technologies and possess comprehensive industry and market domain knowledge.

• Influence technical direction and strategies for the organization and its external clients.

• Responsible for maintaining high and consistent chargeability levels.

• Enhance the organization’s profitability by identifying and nurturing new business opportunities.

• Diagnose and resolve intricate, multi-vendor HPC infrastructure issues.

• Lead or engage in cross-functional projects while contributing to mentorship and knowledge sharing initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of professional experience.

• Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, or a related technical discipline.

• Proficient in Linux environments.

• Demonstrated capability to design and implement complex HPC solutions.

• Expertise in one or more areas including: parallel computing, MPI/OpenMP, GPU acceleration, workload schedulers (Slurm, Altair PBS Pro, Torque/MOAB, etc.), or large-scale data storage systems (Lustre, GPFS, Ceph).

• Familiarity with network boot technologies (PXE or gPXE/Etherboot, etc.).

• Knowledge specific to storage systems: LVM, RAID, iSCSI, disk partitioning (GPT, MBR).

• Understanding of shared storage systems like Lustre, SpectrumStore, and High Availability solutions is an advantage.

• Experience in development and automation tools such as Ansible and GitHub, etc.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities; fluent in English and the local language.
