This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Define the comprehensive architecture, data, and cloud strategy for Celonis within the client's IT framework, ensuring scalability, performance, and security across global implementations.
• Establish architectural guidelines, policies, and standards. Lead or advise on Architecture Review Boards (ARB) to guarantee that Celonis remains a "Clean Core" extension of the client's ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.).
• Propel enterprise modernization by utilizing techniques such as capability mapping and architecting solutions with cutting-edge technologies (e.g., Agentic AI, Process Intelligence Graph).
• Design intricate data pipelines (OCPM) and integration patterns (ETL/ELT, API ecosystems) that unify disparate systems into a cohesive Digital Twin of the business.
• Present technical designs and value propositions with confidence to CIOs, CFOs, and CTOs, aligning their strategic objectives with Celonis' technical offerings.
• Collaborate with senior stakeholders to build the Celonis program roadmap.
• Address customer escalations by efficiently orchestrating internal teams in a timely manner.
• Internalize the client's strategy and objectives, driving Celonis delivery alignment to that strategy and assisting the client in addressing critical business challenges.
• Organize and facilitate customer advisory boards to tackle industry-specific issues and innovations, creating a structured feedback mechanism for continuous insights and improvements in products and services.
• Mobilize and lead a cross-disciplinary team of Applied AI engineers, Data Scientists, and Domain Experts. Ensure engagements are adequately staffed by leveraging global cross-functional resources from Celonis teams, such as Servicing, Product & Engineering.
• Serve as the primary liaison between the client's technical teams and Celonis Product/Engineering to influence the product roadmap and resolve significant technical challenges.
• Assist the client in establishing and scaling a Celonis Center of Excellence (CoE), providing mentorship to their internal architects and process leads.
• Over 12 years of experience in Enterprise Architecture or a CTO-level position at a leading software vendor.
• Expertise in frameworks such as TOGAF or Zachman.
• Practical experience with Big Data technologies (Spark, Kafka, Snowflake, Databricks).
• In-depth knowledge of SaaS ecosystems (SAP S/4HANA, Salesforce, ServiceNow) and traditional on-premise architectures.
• Proven experience in Agentic AI, Machine Learning processes, and process mining methodologies.
• Strong foundation in cybersecurity practices, data privacy (GDPR/CCPA), and SOC2/ISO compliance in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Proficient in German.
• Preferred: Expertise in the Retail Industry.
