IT Administrator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Design, deploy, and continually enhance both cloud and on-premises environments (Azure, AWS, or GCP) with a strong emphasis on uptime, performance, security, and cost-effectiveness.

• Take ownership of the entire stack—from endpoint management to network setup to cloud resource governance.

• Function as a genuine AI-native practitioner.

• Regularly utilize AI tools (such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, and AIOps platforms) in your daily tasks to expedite root cause analysis, create runbooks, draft communications, and identify patterns in system data.

• Continuously seek opportunities where AI can minimize manual tasks and enhance IT results—then execute those improvements.

• Design, construct, and sustain automated workflows that eradicate repetitive tasks across IT operations—including provisioning, patch management, alerting, onboarding/offboarding, and reporting.

• Develop and enforce comprehensive access control policies, identity management frameworks (SSO, MFA, Zero Trust), and compliance standards.

• Equip your environment with dashboards and metrics that provide real insights into system health, SLAs, ticket trends, and operational performance.

• Collaborate closely with DevOps, engineering, product, and business operations teams to ensure IT infrastructure aligns with—and propels—the organization's objectives.

• Consistently assess and recommend enhancements to current processes, tools, and systems.

• Maintain clear, up-to-date documentation for all systems, processes, and runbooks. Educate team members on new tools and workflows, and promote a culture of knowledge sharing and ongoing learning.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field—or equivalent experience with a strong portfolio of practical work.

• Over 5 years of experience in IT administration, with proven ownership of cloud (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and on-premises environments.

• AI-native mindset—you actively incorporate AI tools into your work. You're adept at prompting, assessing, and refining AI solutions for real issues, rather than experimenting sporadically.

• Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing automation solutions using RMM platforms, scripting languages (PowerShell, Python, or Bash), and workflow orchestration tools.

• Strong understanding of security fundamentals—including identity and access management, endpoint protection, Zero Trust principles, and pertinent compliance frameworks (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA).

• Practical experience with monitoring, observability, and analytics tools. You track what’s important and use data to inform decisions.

• Clear and confident communicator—equally skilled in writing a technical runbook and presenting a process improvement proposal to non-technical stakeholders.

• Proven capability to collaborate effectively across distributed, multicultural, and cross-timezone teams.
