Principal Engineer – Revenue Management, Intelligence

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design and develop future-ready interfaces that are user-friendly for client-facing teams.

• Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, Engineers, and other cross-functional teams to envision and create innovative features for our expanding user base.

• Deliver high-quality outcomes by leading extensive cross-functional initiatives that substantially influence the business.

• Troubleshoot production issues across various services and levels of the architecture, enhancing the observability and dependability of the entire system.

• Take charge of architectural decisions across different teams, steer long-term technical strategies, and elevate the standards of engineering excellence across the company.

• Provide mentorship to Staff and Senior engineers.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 12 years of experience in developing distributed systems or platform infrastructure tailored for high-scale, data-intensive workloads.

• Mastery of Java or a similar object-oriented programming language, along with knowledge of infrastructure tools (Airflow, Kubernetes, Ray, Terraform), service frameworks (FastAPI, gRPC), and observability platforms (Prometheus, Grafana, DataDog, Splunk).

• Extensive experience with cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS or GCP, including Kubernetes clusters (GKE/EKS), serverless architectures, and managed services (e.g., Lambda, Cloud Run, ECS).

• Designed solutions that necessitate distributed data infrastructure: message queues (Kafka, Kinesis), caching systems (Redis, Memcached), database optimization, and the development of resilient, fault-tolerant architectures.

• Proficient in SQL (Postgres) / NoSQL (MongoDB) and data warehouse modeling; skilled in optimizing complex data queries, joins, aggregations, and transformations.

• Significant enhancements in platform monitoring and optimization, including the identification of performance bottlenecks, latency improvements, cost management, and efficient scaling of high-throughput API services.
