This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.
• Act as the subject matter authority and lead reviewer for PV and BESS electrical engineering initiatives.
• Design, execute, and enhance electrical design standards, templates, processes, and best practices continuously.
• Manage electrical engineering outputs to ensure timely delivery, compliance with client and regulatory standards, quality, budget adherence, and constructability.
• Conduct and evaluate electrical engineering designs and studies, serving as the Engineer of Record for multiple projects at once.
• Lead, manage, mentor, recruit, and develop the electrical design team.
• Promote innovation in design tools, processes, and plant technology for PV and BESS engineering, procurement, and construction.
• Stay updated with current and upcoming industry codes and standards, integrating them into design tools and processes.
• Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to enhance project design and value while providing technical solutions.
• Assist in pursuits with conceptual design input and engineering budget estimations.
• Support Operations by addressing RFIs, field modifications, and other design-related challenges.
• Conduct technical assessments of proposed changes to project design requirements, material specifications, or methods and means.
• Work together with civil, structural, and high-voltage engineering teams to integrate design packages.
• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and/or Electrical Power Engineering.
• Over 10 years of experience in power system design and engineering, with at least 5 years in PV or BESS.
• Professional Engineer license in one or more U.S. states.
• Proven experience in leading a team of engineers and designers.
• Familiarity with NEC, ANSI, NEMA, IEEE, and other relevant codes and standards.
• Proficient in relevant engineering software, such as AutoCAD, ETAP, PVSyst/SAM, and related electrical system analysis tools preferred.
• EPC experience is preferred.
• Technical proficiency in Electrical Engineering, including the preparation and compilation of plans, studies, calculations, and specifications.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Capacity to prioritize and manage multiple high-impact activities concurrently.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to balance tactical and strategic decisions.
• Remote work arrangement.
• Periodic travel for client meetings, project site evaluations, and industry events.
