Principal Engineer – Back-End

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the comprehensive technical vision for the RBVM and its associated services.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to convert product objectives into technical strategies and execution plans.

• Contribute to production code and establish design quality benchmarks.

• Lead architectural choices for scalable backend systems.

• Oversee execution across various projects, identifying potential risks and dependencies.

• Clearly communicate complex technical ideas to stakeholders.

• Mentor and nurture the development of engineers within the team.

• Assist in the recruitment of top engineering talent.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

• 1–4 years of professional experience in software engineering.

• Proficiency in building backend services using at least one modern programming language, such as Python, Go, Java, TypeScript, or a similar language.

• Experience with SQL and at least one relational database in a production environment.

• Background in developing backend services on a cloud platform (AWS, GCP, or Azure).

• Familiarity with Docker and containerized applications.
