Principal Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the design and strategic technical roadmap, facilitating the transition of legacy systems into an advanced, distributed microservices architecture.

• Set a standard by utilizing AI coding assistants to streamline boilerplate code, create extensive test suites, and enable rapid prototyping.

• Promote technical excellence across various teams, making pivotal architectural choices to foster feature innovation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 16 years of experience in designing and developing highly available, scalable, secure, and mission-critical cloud-native enterprise distributed systems.

• Advanced proficiency in Java or Go, with extensive knowledge of AWS ecosystems (Lambda, EKS, DynamoDB, Kafka).

• Mastery in architecture: Significant experience with cloud-native infrastructure (preferably AWS), microservices patterns, and crafting systems with "five-nines" (99.999%) resilience.

• AI-Driven Workflow: Proven experience in leveraging AI tools to markedly enhance software delivery speed.

• API Expertise: A successful history of developing and maintaining high-volume public-facing APIs that ensure an outstanding developer experience.

• Data Proficiency: Experience in high-throughput data processing and storage solutions (SQL/NoSQL, Redis, Kafka, or Spark).

• Infrastructure as Code: Skilled in Kubernetes, Terraform, and contemporary CI/CD practices.

• Leadership: Demonstrated capability to influence technical strategy across multiple teams and organizational boundaries without direct authority.
