Principal Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Define and steer the architecture for essential platforms and strategic initiatives.

• Lead the design of intricate, scalable, and mission-critical systems.

• Assess trade-offs among performance, scalability, security, and maintainability.

• Facilitate modernization projects, platform unification, and technological advancement.

• Collaborate with Product, Design, and Engineering teams to convert business requirements into scalable solutions.

• Serve as a reliable technical advisor across web, UX, backend, and platform teams.

• Promote platform interoperability and ensure technical consistency throughout the enterprise.

• Mentor engineers and technical leaders throughout the organization.

• Improve engineering quality through code and architectural evaluations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 15 years of software engineering experience in delivering complex systems.

• Proficiency in modern frontend development technologies: TypeScript, React, Next.js.

• Experience in creating scalable web applications and solutions centered on user experience.

• Familiarity with APIs, backend services, and database management (SQL/NoSQL).

• Backend development experience in Node.js, Python, or Java.

• Exposure to mobile development platforms (iOS, Android, or cross-platform).

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

• Knowledge of CI/CD processes, DevOps methodologies, and observability tools.
