Principal Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee and manage one or more cross-functional engineering teams, providing both managerial and technical guidance.

• Offer performance coaching and technical coordination.

• Clarify requirements effectively.

• Recognize and implement development best practices.

• Validate the accuracy of work and ensure compliance with controls.

• Identify training needs and opportunities for talent development.

• Coordinate dependencies between various teams.

• Work collaboratively with product owners and business stakeholders to gather requirements.

• Partner with the scrum master to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.

• Take part in release planning meetings.


⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience as an Engineering Manager or in a similar capacity within an Agile environment.

• Strong analytical skills to evaluate information meticulously and solve intricate problems.

• Effective communication skills for supervising engineers and collaborating with other management personnel.

• Proficient in communication to meet team and business objectives.

• Detail-oriented, with a capacity to comprehend complex systems and focus on specifics.

• Extensive technical knowledge across relevant cross-functional technology domains – Front-end (Angular/Typescript), Backend (Kotlin), QA, and QA automation.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.

• Proven history of delivering complex features/products rapidly.

• Capability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional and cross-organizational teams to develop project plans, secure commitments on deliverables, and lead the resolution of any blockages.

• Experience in people management, specifically managing engineers.

• Demonstrated enthusiasm for tackling ambiguous, complex challenges and driving innovative, high-quality, and robust solutions.

• Experience in architecting and designing (architecture, design patterns, reliability, and scalability) both new and existing systems.

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).
