Principal Engineer – ASP.NET

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Convert product concepts, data models, and the organization's vision into robust architectures that maintain their integrity as requirements change.

• Initiate complex features or systems from start to finish and transition them once patterns are identified and thoroughly documented.

• Steer teams in making decisions regarding reliability, performance, schema evolution, observability, AI integration, and scalability.

• Influence without direct authority by shaping engineering culture, mentoring senior engineers, and elevating the overall standards of the organization.

• Resolve obstacles for teams by troubleshooting issues across the entire stack (from Blazor to API to Postgres to data pipelines).

• Guide senior engineers and enhance engineering culture through clear communication, comprehensive documentation, and leading by example.

• Collaborate closely with product, design, CTO, data, and AI/ML teams to define the roadmap and assess feasibility.

• Utilize AI/ML concepts to enhance automation, personalization, data quality, and the developer experience.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or an equivalent engineering degree.

• Over 12 years of substantial professional development experience.

• Proven ownership of large-scale .NET / ASP.NET systems, including responsibility for their architecture, performance, and evolution over time.

• Strong experience with ASP.NET Blazor UI and a genuine passion for front-end craftsmanship.

• Extensive knowledge of Postgres, database performance tuning, schema design, and ORMs (particularly EF Core).

• Demonstrated ability to design, scale, and develop enterprise-grade systems and distributed architectures.

• A history of technical leadership, mentoring, and influencing across teams.

• Capable of operating independently, establishing direction, and driving execution in uncertain situations.

• Comprehensive systems thinking with expertise in multiple technical areas.

• Awareness of AI/ML concepts and the capability to apply them responsibly in product development.

• Startup mentality characterized by adaptability, urgency, pragmatism, and the ability to switch between strategy and hands-on execution.
