This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
• Oversee the complete delivery process of the pod: including backlog refinement, technical breakdown, implementation, review, and release.
• Create and develop orchestration pipelines that are agentic — for example, managing a bug reported in Slack or Plane through stages like triage, context gathering, fix attempts, PR creation, and automated review prior to human merging.
• Integrate agentic review triggers into PR and CI/CD workflows: encompassing security analysis, bug-risk evaluations, test gap identification, and dependency checks — with defined pass/fail/escalate protocols and auditability.
• Utilize AI-assisted development in a responsible manner across various stages including coding, testing, debugging, refactoring, documentation, and code review — while mentoring the pod and upholding engineering fundamentals.
• Deliver outcomes visible in production early on and document successful practices into standards, guardrails, and tooling choices that can be adopted by the broader organization.
• Provide pragmatic technical leadership on work managed by the pod and on high-risk cross-cutting decisions; offer advice (without ownership) on overarching platform architecture.
• Spearhead a high-impact modernization path that the pod can implement — including evaluating our .NET Core 2.1 infrastructure and providing practical upgrade recommendations.
• Enhance the pod’s production workflow: Git practices, CI/CD (Jenkins and/or GitHub Actions), testing criteria, and quality gates — then suggest rollouts that others can emulate.
• Expand the pod: including hiring, onboarding, scrum maturity, and mentoring engineers across distributed and offshore teams.
• Ensure all deliveries adhere to fintech-grade standards for security, compliance, auditability, and operational discipline — including a thorough evaluation of AI vendor and tooling risks.
• A minimum of 8 years in software engineering, with significant senior technical leadership experience.
• Proficient hands-on skills in existing production codebases — not limited to greenfield projects.
• Experience in leading or making substantial contributions to a small team that delivers tangible results.
• Proven track record of mentoring and implementing new engineering practices beyond your immediate team.
• Practical and safe application of AI-assisted development tools.
• Developed agentic pipelines rather than merely using an AI IDE. You should be able to describe systems you have designed: triggers, agent steps, human checkpoints, CI/CD integration, and the outcomes of any failures.
• Experience with React/TypeScript and .NET/C#; possessing strong architectural and communication abilities.
• Background in fintech, payments, or regulated sectors.
• Experience with upgrading legacy .NET Core; familiarity with Java or Go in production settings.
• Experience in growing a pod or small team into a stable scrum team (or leading multiple squads).
• Expertise in creating engineering standards, test automation, or secure SDLC practices.
• Utilizing AI to enhance codebase understanding, refactoring, test generation, or migration planning.
• Proficient in agentic SDLC automation: including PR review agents, security scanning in CI/CD, bug-triage-to-fix pipelines, and integrations with Slack or issue trackers.
• Flexibility regarding work hours and location, emphasizing energy management over time management.
• Access to online learning resources and a budget dedicated to professional growth.
• A cooperative, no-silos culture that fosters learning and growth across teams.
• A vibrant social atmosphere featuring team lunches, social gatherings, and opportunities for creative contributions.
• Health insurance.
• Leave benefits.
• Provident Fund.
• Gratuity.
