Principal Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create and update essential documentation for developers, clients, and users to foster innovation; Develop and enhance prototypes to validate requirements;

• Code according to project timelines, including version controls and sprints;

• Conduct testing in accordance with established test plans;

• Lead release and post-release processes such as support, versioning, and maintenance;

• Work alongside designers to develop interfaces that adhere to design standards;

• Develop mobile Application Programming Interface (APIs) and web applications for both mobile and browser clients;

• Review code from fellow team members, and learn and adapt code based on feedback;

• Assist sales and project managers with technical insights, facilitating the creation of budgets and timelines for projects;

• Explore opportunities to enhance the company's market presence and boost credibility within the team;

• Produce high-quality deliverables while assessing innovative methods to achieve goals;

• Write and maintain code for internal products and external client projects;

• Collaborate with other developers and the quality assurance team to resolve bugs;

• Aid in the development of reusable code and libraries for future utilization.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field (equivalent foreign degrees accepted).

• Mandatory: 7 years of progressive experience as a Software Developer or in a similar role post-degree, or 5 years with a Master’s degree.

• Additionally requires 7 years of experience (5 with a Master’s) in each of the following areas: designing and architecting software, including interactions with hardware, databases, browsers, file systems, and various types of infrastructure; employing systematic and disciplined methodologies in software development, covering requirements gathering, software design, testing, debugging, and maintenance; knowledge of data structures and algorithms; and understanding computer networks, protocols, network security, and internet data transmission.

• Also requires 5 years of experience in each of the following: writing, analyzing, and debugging code across various programming languages; software privacy and security, including secure coding standards, threat avoidance, and mitigation; computation theory, considering automation, human involvement, and ethical limitations; and educating others on the impact of design on comprehensibility, maintainability, performance, and availability in software development.
