Principal Data Engineer – MarTech

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the technical framework for our enterprise Customer Data Platform. Create data models, event schemas, and identity resolution protocols necessary for establishing a cohesive customer profile that facilitates real-time personalization and orchestration.

• Design and implement scalable data pipelines that integrate various internal databases, product telemetry, and third-party SaaS solutions into the MarTech ecosystem. Leverage APIs, webhooks, and SDKs extensively for secure data ingestion and routing.

• Develop and enforce comprehensive data tracing and monitoring standards. Address intricate data inconsistencies end-to-end to maintain high levels of data integrity, reliability, and accuracy.

• Assume technical leadership for data privacy operations. Unify various data sources with our Data Privacy Management/Consent platforms to automate PII removal and Data Subject Access Request (DSAR) processes.

• Serve as the liaison among Marketing, Business Systems, Data Engineering, and Legal/Privacy teams. Convert complex, high-level business needs into scalable technical solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in data engineering and integration engineering.

• Extensive architectural and hands-on expertise in implementing and managing enterprise Customer Data Platforms and Tag Management Systems.

• Strong backend integration capabilities, with significant experience in consuming and creating REST/RESTful APIs, webhooks, and managing both batch and real-time data streaming architectures.

• Demonstrated ability to map and trace intricate data lineage across widely distributed systems, along with the capacity to analyze dependencies.

• Comprehensive understanding of global data privacy laws (GDPR, CCPA) and the technical mechanisms necessary to enforce them within a decentralized software stack.

• High proficiency in programming languages pertinent to data processing and web technologies (e.g., JavaScript/Node.js, Python, SQL).
