This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Implement new processes and enhance financial controls to ensure the health and stability of our increasingly complex business.
• Take ownership of and drive financial planning and budgeting processes. You will be instrumental in resource allocation and guiding Ethos’ growth trajectory.
• Develop and monitor essential financial performance metrics. Manage key corporate reporting requirements to the Board of Directors and Executive Team, such as company-level KPI tracking, performance to plan, and budget vs. actual variance analysis.
• Actively participate in the design and implementation of accounting and planning tools like NetSuite, Anaplan, and Adaptive.
• Lead high-impact strategic and operational initiatives, providing business analytics and insights to inform decisions regarding unit economics, customer acquisition, operations, core business expansion, and new opportunities.
• Utilize a data-driven analytical approach to influence decision-making and assist company leadership in assessing strategic initiatives.
• At least 10 years of relevant work experience in Corporate Finance, FP&A, or Strategic Finance, ideally including over 3 years at publicly traded companies or late-stage pre-IPO firms. Experience in investment banking and/or private equity or growth equity is a plus.
• Exceptional Excel skills and extensive experience in developing insightful financial models and quantitative analyses, combined with strong critical thinking and sound business judgment.
• Previous experience in building and leading finance teams.
• Proficient in developing new processes within an enterprise financial planning system (e.g., Adaptive, Anaplan).
• Self-motivated individual with a history of success and a demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects/tasks while meeting deadlines. Eager to own and drive projects from Day 1.
• Excellent communication skills and effective collaboration across functions.
• Outstanding attention to detail.
• Strong understanding of valuation methods and a solid working knowledge of GAAP.
