Principal Consultant, Incident Preparedness – Proactive Services

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Oversee the comprehensive delivery of proactive incident preparedness initiatives, including Tabletop Exercises, the development of Incident Response Plans, and Response Maturity Assessments.

• Evaluate and analyze the Crisis Management, Incident Response, and Business Continuity documentation of clients.

• Recognize deficiencies and offer practical recommendations.

• Design, organize, and lead Tabletop Exercises for technical teams and executive leadership.

• Generate thorough post-exercise reports containing strategic insights.

• Manage client relationships from initial project scoping and stakeholder alignment until the production of final deliverables.

• Work alongside clients and internal Unit 42 teams as a reliable cyber resilience consultant.

• Assist in enhancing service delivery methods and enriching internal team expertise.

• Travel around 20% as necessary for client projects and business needs.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Cyber Security, or a related discipline, or equivalent hands-on experience.

• Over 8 years of combined experience in incident preparedness and incident response consulting.

• Proven experience in leading and executing complex, client-focused cybersecurity projects from scoping to completion.

• Essential hands-on experience in both incident response and preparedness, with a primary emphasis on preparedness.

• A Master’s degree in a relevant area is preferred.

• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, GCIH, GCFA, or CISM are preferred.

• Experience in presenting intricate security subjects and findings to executive-level stakeholders is preferred.

• Familiarity with NIST, ISO 27001, and MITRE ATT&CK frameworks is preferred.

• Willingness to travel approximately 20%.
