Principal Cloud DX Software Engineer – CI/CD

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the CI/CD and configuration management framework across the production fleet.

• Transform the creation of new production environments into a templated process.

• Establish reference architectures tailored to the specific scale of target clusters.

• Address version discrepancies and release schedules across various environments.

• Set benchmarks for canary deployments, automated rollbacks, and default safety measures in releases.

• Create guided pathways that empower product teams to deliver without needing platform expertise.

• Manage the entire delivery process and enhance pipeline reliability, speed, and predictability.

• Advance the Internal Developer Portal and enhance the self-service experience.

• Collaborate with Cloud Platform, Security, and Compliance teams on delivery mechanisms.

• Establish technical guidance and mentor Staff and Senior engineers.

• Integrate AI tools into delivery processes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in Platform Engineering with a focus on CI/CD in organizations with 250+ engineers.

• Background in managing and operating a CI/CD platform at both the administrative and architectural levels, encompassing security, configuration, and enablement.

• Proficiency in GitOps and declarative configuration at scale.

• Demonstrated capability to design and manage delivery systems on a large scale.

• Practical experience in production-quality software development.

• Familiarity with progressive delivery methods, including canary deployments and automated rollbacks.

• Knowledge of cloud-native architectures and Kubernetes-based platforms.

• Enthusiasm for leveraging AI to enhance engineering speed, quality, and the developer experience.

• Excellent collaboration skills with the ability to influence multiple teams.
