Principal Cloud Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +35 more states.

📋 Description

• Directs cross-disciplinary teams to design, implement, and enhance Banner Health’s multi-cloud infrastructure utilizing Azure, AWS, and OCI.

• Formulates a long-term cloud strategy that prioritizes scalability, security, resilience, and cost efficiency.

• Works in collaboration with the Cloud Platform Engineering & Operations and Network Operations teams.

• Acts as a subject-matter expert, providing insights and closely collaborating with IT partners.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent education and experience.

• A minimum of 15 years of experience in software engineering, digital engineering, and application modernization.

• At least 5 years of experience in designing and developing cloud and microservices at scale.

• Proven experience in optimizing Kubernetes workloads deployed on cloud platforms.

• Familiarity with AI development tools.

• Demonstrated experience with platform operating models and product-driven digital engineering.

• Practical experience in designing and scaling digital applications on cloud platforms, ideally AWS and Azure.

• Experience with large-scale cloud migrations and modernization projects.
