Principal C# Backend Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.

📋 Description

• Design and sustain the analyzer workflow logic on the ECL platform, taking ownership of the backend processes that facilitate analyzer operations from start to finish.

• Implement and enhance workflow orchestration — overseeing analyzer state transitions, operational sequencing, and the management of runtime events.

• Partner with the Analyzer Integration Engineer to develop the communication layer between ECL and the connected analyzers.

• Contribute to the DCU modernization initiative by recognizing workflow logic that can be extracted and reformulated into shared .NET libraries.

• Collaborate with the QA team to verify the accuracy and reliability of workflows across various analyzer types and edge cases.

• Engage in knowledge transfer from outgoing Hydra resources to maintain the continuity of analyzer workflow behavior.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 7 years of professional experience in C# / .NET backend development.

• Proven experience in building workflow or orchestration systems — including state machines, process sequencing, or similar frameworks.

• Strong comprehension of backend service architecture and inter-service communication protocols.

• Capability to navigate and work within legacy codebases without disrupting production environments.

• A collaborative mindset for working alongside integration and infrastructure engineers.
