• Develop and implement AI-driven voice and messaging agents for clients in the healthcare and life sciences sectors, overseeing the entire process.
• Convert client workflows into functional agent workflow designs.
• Conduct technical sessions with the clinical, IT, and operations teams of clients; transforming their requirements into prompts, tools, retrieval structures, and vector stores.
• Integrate with client data systems such as CRMs, EHR/EMR platforms, specialty pharmacy systems, claims, and Rx data feeds, creating the necessary ingestion pipelines to support these systems.
• Write the production stack using TypeScript, including agent runtime, routing, orchestration, and evaluations; assist in developing the machine learning aspect in Python (training, embeddings, model registry); establish declarative guardrails and integrations within workflows.
• Operate within HIPAA regulations: providing real-time API access to PHI (never stored at rest), creating de-identification pipelines, ensuring US-only data residency, and managing encrypted recordings.
• Design and manage databases (including relational and caching layers) that facilitate both real-time agent operations and compliance audit trails.
• Implement output guardrails to ensure agents provide information and adhere to healthcare regulatory standards.
• Codify individual client configuration patterns into reusable components to expedite onboarding for new clients.
• Collaborate with product teams, account management, and platform engineering to translate insights from the field into platform enhancements.
• Over 7 years of experience in a production engineering role delivering customer-facing software.
• Proficiency in modern programming languages such as Javascript/Node, Typescript, and Python.
• Experience in building and maintaining real-time systems, including WebSockets, streaming media, event-driven architectures, or high-throughput API services.
• Proven track record of production integration work with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and healthcare data systems (EHR/EMR, claims, pharmacy).
• Familiarity with data engineering practices, including ETL/ELT pipelines, data quality checks, and ingestion from diverse sources.
• Competence in cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP): managing containers, CI/CD, monitoring, and basic security protocols.
• Capability to operate within environments regulated by HIPAA.
• Excellent communication skills for client interactions.
• Startup mindset: you build, you ship, and you rectify issues as they arise.
• Nice to Have: Experience with voice or telephony infrastructure; LLM orchestration and agentic system design; familiarity with healthcare or life sciences; experience with workflow engines, rules engines, or state machine architectures; product awareness.
• No specific benefits mentioned in the listing.
