Principal Applied AI Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Address significant challenges within product and internal systems by identifying opportunities where AI or automation can deliver substantial value.

• Collaborate closely with engineering, product, and business stakeholders to comprehend issues, clarify objectives, and outline the appropriate strategies.

• Develop practical, comprehensive solutions ranging from architectural designs and technical plans to systems ready for production.

• Construct systems that incorporate LLMs, integrations, and multi-step or agentic workflows.

• Make informed engineering choices regarding model selection, orchestration, evaluation, latency, cost, reliability, security, and maintainability.

• Produce production-quality code, create prototypes, and refine them into resilient, scalable solutions.

• Influence the technical trajectory across teams, establish best practices, and assist others in effectively adopting AI.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in software engineering.

• Proficient in system design and backend engineering.

• Proven experience in developing and delivering AI / LLM-based solutions.

• Ability to transition from problem identification to architecture and implementation.

• Experience with automation, workflows, or systems resembling agent functionality.

• Hands-on mindset with a readiness to write production-level code.

• Strong engineering judgment, including the capacity to discern when to refrain from using AI.

• Proficiency in both Polish and English (minimum C1 level).

• Experience in cross-team collaboration and influencing technical choices.

• Demonstrated curiosity, ownership, and eagerness to apply AI in real-world scenarios.

• Preferred: Familiarity with TypeScript and Node.js (our primary technology stack) or a willingness to work extensively in this environment.

• Experience with AI in developer tools or internal systems.

• Understanding of agentic systems or orchestration frameworks.

• Background in production systems focusing on performance, reliability, and scalability.
