Principal AI Product Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the design, development, and deployment of software solutions enhanced by AI. Ensure that all development efforts adhere to contemporary architectural standards, such as microservices and domain-driven design. Clearly communicate architectural choices across various services and domains.

• Design and implement robust APIs and microservices to incorporate AI capabilities into our systems. Develop and enhance prompt strategies to direct AI agents in coding, testing, and documentation. Utilize AI tools like Copilot, Devin AI, and GPT APIs to boost efficiency and quality.

• Convert high-level product objectives into actionable tasks that are optimized for both human and AI execution. Perform thorough code reviews for both human-generated and AI-generated code, ensuring performance, security, and accuracy.

• Mentor developers in nearshore locations, promoting a culture of learning and the adoption of AI tools. Advocate for clean code practices and contemporary software design.

• Collaborate on enhancing build and deployment pipelines by incorporating AI-driven review and testing processes to expedite delivery.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in software engineering, emphasizing architectural leadership and proficiency in Python.

• More than 2 years of hands-on experience with AI/ML models in a production environment.

• Strong experience in backend or full-stack development (Python).

• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools (Cloud Code, Devin AI, GPT APIs).

• Excellent skills in system design and task decomposition.

• Demonstrated experience in leading distributed or nearshore engineering teams.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Knowledge of AI agent frameworks (LangChain, CrewAI, AutoGPT).

• Understanding of domain-driven design (DDD) or microservices architecture.

• Experience with vector databases, embeddings, or other LLM infrastructure.

• Background in fast-paced B2B SaaS environments.
