Principal AI Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.

📋 Description

• Engage with clients during the presales phase to evaluate AI readiness, limitations, and success criteria, converting visions into actionable specifications.

• Create and deliver presales materials, which include architecture diagrams, assumptions, risk assessments, cost estimates, scalability factors, and implementation roadmaps.

• Identify AI use cases and agentic scenarios tailored to client requirements.

• Choose and provide rationale for large language models (LLMs) according to specific use cases based on requirements, cost, latency, safety, and capabilities.

• Design multi-agent frameworks featuring orchestrator agents and MCP-style protocols.

• Develop and implement single-agent and multi-agent AI systems with clearly defined roles, access to tools, memory, and safety boundaries.

• Create orchestration logic including routing, delegation, retry mechanisms, fallback strategies, consensus, and human-in-the-loop processes.

• Construct RAG pipelines that encompass data ingestion, chunking, embeddings, vector databases, hybrid retrieval, and relevance optimization.

• Establish learning and feedback loops aimed at ongoing agent enhancement.

• Design custom or modified models, such as prompt-tuned agents, LoRA fine-tuning, and domain-inherited models.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in AI engineering or similar roles.

• Proven track record in designing and developing AI-driven systems in a production environment.

• Experience with agentic frameworks, multi-agent collaboration, and orchestrator/worker models.

• Expertise in RAG pipelines and relevance tuning.

• Proficient in Python and/or TypeScript, API design, microservices, and cloud-native architectures.

• Practical familiarity with various LLM providers including OpenAI, Anthropic, and open-source alternatives.

• Capability to build or adapt models such as prompt-tuned agents, LoRA fine-tuning, and inheritance from foundational models.

• Knowledge of AWS Bedrock, Azure OpenAI, and GCP Vertex AI.

• Understanding of governance, security, data residency, pricing structures, and enterprise integration within cloud AI platforms.

• Strong production-grade mindset focused on observability, logging, security, PII management, and cost effectiveness.

• Excellent communication skills for articulating AI concepts to non-technical audiences.

• Proficiency in English at an Upper-Intermediate level.
