Principal AI Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Tackle significant challenges within product and internal systems, pinpointing opportunities where AI or automation can deliver substantial value.

• Collaborate closely with engineering, product, and business stakeholders to grasp issues, refine objectives, and determine the most effective approach.

• Create practical, comprehensive solutions ranging from architecture and technical planning to production-ready systems.

• Develop systems that incorporate LLMs, integrations, as well as multi-step or agentic workflows.

• Produce high-quality production code, develop prototypes, and transform them into dependable, scalable solutions.

• Shape the technical trajectory across teams, establish best practices, and assist others in effectively adopting AI.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in software engineering.

• Strong expertise in system design and backend engineering.

• Proven experience in developing and deploying AI / LLM-based solutions.

• Capacity to transition from problem identification to architecture to implementation.

• Background in automation, workflows, or agent-like systems.

• Hands-on mentality and readiness to write production-level code.

• Strong engineering judgment, including the discernment of when not to employ AI.

• Proficiency in both Polish and English (minimum C1 level).

• Experience in cross-team collaboration and influencing technical decisions.

• A sense of curiosity, ownership, and enthusiasm for applying AI in practical scenarios.

• Nice to have: Familiarity with TypeScript and Node.js (our main technology stack), or a willingness to engage extensively in this environment.

• Experience with AI in developer tools or internal systems.

• Understanding of agentic systems or orchestration frameworks.

• Experience with production systems, focusing on performance, reliability, and scalability.
