Principal AI Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latvia.

📋 Description

• Oversee the design and deployment of production AI systems that address real-world business challenges for our partners.

• Identify market opportunities to align technology with business results, applying a builder’s intuition to discern what will succeed commercially.

• Propel Able's AI strategy by persistently researching and integrating state-of-the-art AI technologies, frameworks, and tools.

• Collaborate with partners and potential clients to comprehend their business needs and envision opportunities to leverage technology (specifically AI) to enhance performance.

• Offer guidance and mentorship, continuously improving our team’s and partner teams' AI skills through knowledge transfer and training on the latest technologies and best practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 12 years of experience in developing AI/ML systems, with hands-on experience in deployment and operation.

• Proficiency in the contemporary LLM stack: advanced models, RAG, vector databases, agentic frameworks, and the evaluations and safeguards that ensure their reliability in production.

• Familiarity with the spec-and-harness model, utilizing agentic coding tools (such as Claude Code, Cursor, etc.) at the specification and acceptance levels.

• Proven track record of leading large-scale and complex projects.

• Established experience in integrating ML and generative models within existing web and mobile applications.

• Natural ability to engage effectively and inspire our partners and executive stakeholders with innovative AI concepts.

• Demonstrated capability in linking business challenges to the potential advantages of AI, and effectively conveying those opportunities to non-technical audiences.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English.
