Preventive Maintenance Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut.

📋 Description

• Conduct preventive maintenance and inspections on Bloom Energy fuel cell systems.

• Utilize IR cameras and gas leak detectors for routine preventive maintenance tasks.

• Maintain a service vehicle in good condition.

• Operate and uphold standard operating programs and digital devices, including laptops, smartphones, and tablets.

• Manage inventories of spare parts and tools.

• Collaborate with customers to access their facilities.

• Document and report completed tasks using company computer programs.

• Dispatch from a location within the designated service area.

• Travel across the Northeast Region while executing responsibilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED is required.

• Experience with machinery, engines, appliances, or electrical equipment, or have active or reserve military duty experience.

• Fundamental understanding of safe work practices, particularly concerning electricity and construction/industrial environments.

• Basic electrical and mechanical skills.

• Ability to work independently while adhering to written instructions.

• Demonstrate integrity, professionalism, initiative, and sound decision-making.

• Proficient communication skills in English, both written and verbal.

• Capable of using standard mechanical hand tools and equipment.

• Competent in basic laptop navigation.

• A clean driving record is essential.

• Physical ability to lift 45–50 lbs.

• Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

• Capable of working at heights exceeding 15 feet and occasionally climb or descend ladders or elevated platforms.

• Ability to consistently stand, bend, push, and pull throughout each day.
