
Prescribing Physician Psychiatrist – Virtual High Acuity Care

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations for children, adolescents, and/or adults engaged in Lyra’s high acuity care services to establish diagnoses and guide treatment planning.
• Provide expert psychopharmacological management, including the prescribing and monitoring of medications, as well as psychoeducation about medications and collaboration with patients on medication-related decisions.
• Actively engage in multidisciplinary team meetings to contribute to the creation and execution of holistic treatment plans for high acuity participants.
• Offer clinical consultation to high acuity therapists regarding complex cases, diagnostic considerations, and medication-related matters.
• Administer brief individual follow-up appointments with high acuity participants as necessary for medication management and to assess treatment progress.
• Ensure timely and precise completion of all psychiatric documentation, including evaluation reports, medication charts, progress notes, and discharge summaries, in accordance with Lyra's policies and procedures.
• Uphold the highest ethical and professional standards of conduct, while complying with all relevant state and federal laws and regulations, including HIPAA.
• Show proficiency and comfort in utilizing telehealth platforms and electronic health records (EHRs) for virtual care delivery and documentation.
• Contribute to the continuous evaluation and enhancement of Lyra’s high acuity care programs.
• Board certified MD or DO in psychiatry, ABPN.
• Current unrestricted license to practice medicine in the United States (priority given for IMLC licensure, IMLC issuing states, and states prioritized based on operational needs).
• Willingness to obtain cross-licensing in additional states as required to support program expansion.
• Leadership experience with a solid background in teaching and collaborating with colleagues.
• Strong administrative and organizational capabilities.
• Enthusiastic about providing collaborative mental health care and direct patient services.
• Experience in managing risk and responding to clinical crises.
• Preferred experience in delivering telehealth services in a virtual setting, though not mandatory.
• Proficient with computer and live video tools (e.g., Zoom, Google Meets, DoxyMe, Skype, etc.).
• Availability to work part-time, approximately 24 hours per week.
• Preference for availability during afternoon and evening weekday hours (11am-8pm Pacific Time).
• Potential opportunity to work on Saturdays.
• Must be a full-time resident of the United States.
