Prescribing Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant – 1099 Contractor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Engage in thorough mental health medication management through a 60-minute intake session and ongoing follow-up meetings.

• Perform mental health risk assessments, psychiatric medication evaluations, and continuous medication management.

• Develop patient-focused treatment plans, document clinical recommendations, communicate with patients, and prescribe as well as oversee psychiatric medications.

• Possess the experience and dedication to deliver safe, evidence-based medication treatment adhering to clinical best practice guidelines (e.g., measurement-based care, patient-centered care, meticulous attention, minimizing medication risks, and maximizing benefits).

⛳️ Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited (CCNE) Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) program; OR a graduate from an accredited PA program (ARC-PA) with certification through PANCE, preferably with a Certificate of Added Qualifications in psychiatry, a post-graduate fellowship in psychiatry, or completion of another academic psychiatry certificate program, including a Doctor of Medical Science with a Psychiatry concentration.

• Possession of an unrestricted state license in Illinois.

• A minimum of 2 years of professional practice.

• Strong preference for Nurse Practitioners (NPs) and Physician Assistants-Certified (PA-Cs) who hold an active DEA license.

• Preference for NPs and PA-Cs with additional certification or clinical experience working with minors.

• Must have office space available to see clients.

• Capability to provide care to patients with a wide range of diagnoses, clinical complexities, and severity levels, with a preference for providers who offer in-person services.

• Must be a full-time resident of the United States.
