This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Collaborate and implement a unified strategy with your direct salesperson that aligns with both your partners' and Fortinet's objectives.
• Assist your partners in various capacities, including POCs for internal use or managed offerings, creating labs for technical training, and developing customized presentations.
• Engage with your partners on-site to foster relationships across their internal business units.
• Serve as the primary technical liaison for your partners, working closely with your sales partner.
• Collaborate with Fortinet's teams (account sales/technical, marketing, specialization overlays) alongside your partners' teams (sales/technical/professional services, managed services, etc.) to create “go to market” offerings that fulfill Fortinet's and our partners' objectives.
• Continuously enhance your understanding of Fortinet products and solutions while keeping a comprehensive awareness of the competitive landscape and Fortinet's capability to provide enduring protection against evolving threats.
• Demonstrate a strong capability to present Fortinet solutions to partners, whether remotely or in person. This necessitates excellent communication skills and the confidence to present through whiteboarding, technical documentation, technical plans, or client interactions.
• Effectively manage your time when handling multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring a positive experience for customers is upheld.
• Accurately maintain activity logs, contact details, and technical account information for all customers and prospects in our CRM (Salesforce).
• 3 to 8 years of experience in technical or pre-sales support as a pre-sales or security specialist.
• Experience in administering LAN/WAN/Internet services.
• Capability to design network and security solutions, proficiently use Visio, and create BOMs (Bill of Materials).
• Familiarity with the following technologies: Routing, Switching, VPN, LAN, WAN, Network Security, Stateful Firewalling, NGFW, Firewall policies, Identity-based policies, NAT, IPS, AntiMalware, Botnet, Application Control, DDoS, Web Filtering, SDN.
• Strong understanding of the following technologies and protocols: TCP/IP, IPv4, IPv6, supernetting and subnetting, DNS, HTTP, SMTP, RADIUS, LDAP, Active Directory, PKI, IKE, Certificates, L2TP, SSL Decryption, SSL VPN, IPSEC, 802.1Q, VLANs, LACP, MD5, SSH, SSL, SHA1, SHA512, 3DES, AES.
• Experience with encryption and authentication technologies is required.
• Strong hands-on experience in configuring and troubleshooting network and security solutions is highly desired.
• Excellent presentation skills.
• Strong communication and writing abilities. Previous experience responding to RFPs is advantageous.
• Skills in whiteboarding are beneficial.
• Technical expertise in Wi-Fi, Load Balancing and Application Delivery, Ethernet Switching, ACI, API, Two Factor Authentication, Malware Sandboxes, Mail Gateways, Web Application Firewalls, Cloud (AWS, Azure, etc.), SDN, NFV, Virtualization, Centralized Management, SIEM, and Data Center redundancy are considered assets.
• Previous pre-sales experience with a vendor or reseller is an asset.
• Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience in one or more of the following: Zero Trust, Network Security, endpoint security, SASE, SD-WAN, NG-SOC (SIEM, SOAR, EDR, NDR, ESM, etc.), or Cloud Security is advantageous.
• A candidate who enjoys learning, is unafraid to conduct online research or delve into technical documentation, and feels empowered to explore—supported by a team that will assist and provide training at every stage.
• Bilingual in French and English.
